Dave Keehn – Pastor of Youth & College

Dave Keehn is first and foremost the husband of Debbie and the father of Aimee, Adam and Mfundo (whom they adopted from South Africa in 2009). Dave’s desire is to nurture his best friend and ministry partner, Debbie, to fulfill God’s call on her life and to work together in raising their children to love God and serve others. Dave’s passion is to train leaders to equip and encourage this next generation to embrace the heart of God so that this generation would change the world for God and future generations.

A true California boy, Dave Keehn is the Pastor to Youth at South Shores Church in Dana Point, CA. He has been in youth ministry for more than 24 years. Dave is also an Associate Professor at BIOLA University in La Mirada, CA, teaching primarily youth ministry courses.

You can often find Dave walking on the beach with his family and their dog, Zorro (a black pug). When Dave is not at the church or the beach you can find him fulfilling a boyhood dream of riding on fire trucks. Dave is a chaplain for the Orange County Fire Authority in Southern California. His last obsession is Disneyland, where he often escapes with his wife and kids to create memories!

Dana Dill – Assistant Youth Director

Dana was born and raised in San Clemente, California. He graduated San Clemente high school in 2006 and obtained his B.A in Christian Ministries at Biola University in 2010. For as far a he can remember, South Shores has been his home church and he doesn’t plan on going anywhere soon.

Dana met Jesus around his sophomore year in high school and attended Corefellowship as a student. While in high school he served as a small group leader for Middle School students and began an internship at South Shores during his senior year in high school. He interned under the leadership of his youth pastor/mentor Dave Keehn (see above) until he became the Assistant Youth Director for South Shores in 2010.

Dana married his high school sweetheart Chawna in 2010 and now lives in Dana Point.

“I was transformed by Jesus in an unchangeable way and now my heart’s desire is for people to meet Jesus and see that nothing can compare to His worth. I think Paul said it best in Acts 20:24, ‘I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace.”
